Florida Property Appraiser

Columbia County Tax Collector

The Property Appraiser certifies the Columbia County Tax Rolls to the Tax Collector each year in October. The basic information of the property owner, legal description, appraised value, exemptions, tax amount due, and more details are included in the tax rolls, which are used to create tax bills that are mailed out by November 1 of every year. The millage rate is determined by the taxing authorities and adopted along with the assessed property value made by the Property Appraiser to determine the annual property taxes. The Tax Collector is responsible for collecting the taxes and then sending them to the tax authorities, who finally spend the money on serving the residents in Columbia County.
