Indian River County Property Appraiser

Indian River County Property Appraiser is responsible for valuing all properties in Indian River County, administering applications for tax exemptions, and providing G.I.S. official mapping and imagery to the county. Wesley Davis, CFA is the Indian River County Property Appraiser, who leads an experienced team to provide excellent property appraisal service to all property owners in Indian River County.

As of January 1 every year, the Property Appraiser uses a computer-based system to assess the just value of the properties based on several factors such as income, cost, and comparison. Before March 1, the property owners should apply for tax exemptions. The tax value is computed by multiplying the assessed value of the property minus any tax exemptions by the millage rate.

In August, trim notices are mailed out to all property owners. The owners can get information on the assessed property values, certified exemptions, estimated property tax amount, etc. If the owners do not agree with the property values assessed by the Property Appraiser, they can discuss the assessment with the Property Appraiser's Office, and have the right to file a petition to appeal the assessment.

You can search information on properties by any one of the ten criteria, including owner name, location address, parcel number, prop ID, legal information, section/township/range, neighborhood, subdivision, and intersection.
Enter the relevant item in the search field, and then click the Search button.
You will get a lot of details of the property such as parcel summary, metes and bounds, owner information, homestead application, change of address application, valuation, etc.
