Duval County Property Appraiser

The property appraiser is committed to assessing all properties in the county as of January 1 each year according to the eight factors listed in Section 193.011 of the Florida Statutes. Joyce Morgan was elected as the Duval County Property Appraiser.

Property appraisers consider the market sales of properties when they determine the property value. Never will the assessed value exceed the market value. If you disagree with the property value made by your appraiser, you have two options for challenging the assessment: either talk with the property appraiser's office or submit a petition to the county value adjustment board (VAB). If you are still unsatisfied with the result, you can file a case in circuit court.
