Duval County Tax Collector
The property value is determined by the property appraiser, who also calculates and certifies various tax exemptions and creates a tax roll. Then the taxing authorities such as the Duval County School Board determine the tax amount. Finally, the Tax Collector mails the tax bills to the owners and collects the taxes.
How is the Property Tax Search Applied?
There is a Property Tax Search Page provided by the Duval County Tax Collector to check your property tax bill, see the up-to-date payment information, and make a payment. Just enter the the name, address, or account in the search boxes, and click the search button. You will get a wealth of information about your tax bill, including general information about your property, property value, amount due, and account history. If there is an amount due, you can choose to pay for it online.
Please notice that the e-check payments are free, but the credit/debit card payments require a convenience fee. E-checks are not accepted for paying delinquent property taxes; they can only be paid online with a credit card (2.5% transaction fee).
