Florida Property Appraiser

Escambia County Tax Collector

The Property Appraiser determines the property values, and the taxing authorities such as the Board of County Commissioners set the millage rates. Based on these values and all exemptions, the Property Appraiser completes the tax roll. Then the tax roll is certified to the Tax Collector. The tax notices are normally printed and mailed out to the owner by the Tax Collector on November 1 each year.

You will get discounts for early payment: 4% in November, 3% in December, 2% in January, and 1% in February. You need to pay the gross amount in March and the taxes become delinquent on April 1.

How is Property Tax Paid?

There is a property tax search page provided by the Escambia County Tax Collector on the website.

Property Tax Search and Pay

You can look up the bills, properties, or accounts by using this search page. Just enter the relevant items such as name or address into the search box, and click the Search button (See more searching tips in the Help at the bottom of the page). You can click a search result to see the tax bill. Then the charges and amount history will appear on the page. If there is an amount due, you can click the Pay button to pay your taxes online.

Please Note: Property taxes that are past due cannot be paid online. The only accepted forms of payment are cash, cashier's checks, and money orders. Credit/debit cards, personal checks, and business checks are not available.
