Leon County Tax Collector

According to the assessed value made by the Property Appraiser and the millage rates set by the Board of County Commissioners and other taxing authorities bodies, the Property Appraiser creates the tax roll and then sends it to the Tax Collector who prints and mails out the tax notices to all property owner in the county. In addition, the Tax Collector is responsible for collecting ad valorem taxes on both real estate and tangible personal properties from November 1 every year. All property owners should keep in mind that they must pay taxes before April 1 and the taxes become delinquent on April 1. Please notice that the early payment will get discounts. (4% discount in November, 3% in December, 2% in January, 1% in February, full amount in March.)

Search and Pay Property Taxes

You can pay your property taxes or search the tax roll by any one of the Tax Account Number, Property Owner Name, Property Address, or Subdivision Name. Enter the related content in the search fields and then click the Search button. You will get details of the Tax Roll. If there is an amount due, you can pay it online immediately.

Please notice that tax deed redemptions cannot be paid online. In addition, late payments for second and third installments are not supported online if the next installment due is not also paid. You can go to the Tax Collector’s Office to pay for the second and third installments.
