Florida Property Appraiser

Okaloosa County Tax Collector

The Tax Collector is responsible for collecting the property taxes annually starting from November 1 for the January through December tax year. The Property Appraiser establishes the tax roll based on the assessed values and millage rates and certifies the tax roll to the Tax Collector. Tax bills are mailed on or before November 1 each year by the Tax Collector, and the taxes become delinquent on April 1. If you pay taxes early, you will get certain discounts (4% in November, 3% in December, 2% in January, 1% in February, gross amount in March).

How to Pay Property Taxes?

You can pay your property taxes in four ways - by mail (money order, check, and cashier’s check), in person (Cash, debit/credit card, money order, check, and cashier’s check ), online ( E-check and debit/credit card), and by phone (E-check and debit/credit card).
