Sarasota County Tax Collector

In Florida, all real and tangible personal properties are assessed and subject to property taxes. Ad valorem taxes and non-ad valorem assessments are included in the real estate tax bill. The bill for tangible taxes only includes ad valorem taxes. Taxes are due on November 1 each year. Early payment is qualified for certain discounts (4% if paid in November, 3% if paid in December, 2% if paid in January, 1% if paid in February, and gross amount if paid in March). Taxes become delinquent on April 1 of the next year. A penalty will be added to the tax bill if the taxes are delinquent.

How to Use the Property Tax Search?

A Property Tax Search Page is available on the website.

Property Tax Search

You can search the property taxes by four criteria - Account Number, Mailing Address, Owner Name, and Property Address. You need to enter the relevant item in the search field and then select the "Search Type", "Show list using", and "Show Paid/Unpaid" from the drop-down lists. Click the "Go" button and you will get the details of the property taxes.
